Along with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, we recommend scheduling your child's first dental visit by their first birthday. The earlier the dental visit, the better the chances of preventing dental problems. Early visits help establish a rapport and set the foundation for a lifetime of healthy smiles.
Prepare your child for the first visit the way you would for a first haircut or trip to a new place. Keep it positive and simple. If you're nervous, the less you say the better — children sense anxiety! Avoid words like "needle," "shot," "drill," or "hurt." Our team explains everything in a fun, pleasant way.
We send an activity/coloring book before the appointment to get your child excited about their visit.
